Beauty Product Reviews

Wow! It's been too long since I've last wrote a post....
But this time I'll try something different.
I'm going to review a few beauty products! (:

First off, Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque.
I've been using this clay mask for several months now, and all I can say is that I really love it. I just slather a layer of the stuff on my face, wait (it says to wait 15 minutes but I like to wait) for 30 minutes or until almost all of it is dry, and then taking a small washcloth I use warm water and gently rub the clay mask off.
Whenever I put the mask on it actually gives me a tingly feeling.
After doing the mask, I definitely feel like my face is cleaner and the pores are smaller.
This is one product that I think is a must-have! (:
It's cheap and works amazingly.

Next, Nair Lotion with Aloe.
My friend bought this for me mainly as a joke. I always complain how I have too much hair on my arms and no matter how many times I shave or wax my arms, they go right back within a few short days.
Surprisingly this product does work pretty good. I put it on my arms and waited 8-10 minutes before taking a washcloth and warm water to take it off. Unfortunately, it does burn a little when the product is on the skin. And afterwards, my skin is still burning. There will be little redness and bumps here and there, and my arms are itchy. So I quickly apply lotion on after using this product. But the plus side is, it does remove 9.5/10 of the hair on my arms. And it feels nice and smooth the next day once the redness and bumps are gone.
Another nice product with the only downside that the product will make your skin feel like it's burning a little.

Lastly, Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes.
This product I have been using for two years now and I still love it! (:
I only purchase the refill ones and not the actual one with the plastic container because it is cheaper. But even better, I buy them bulk from Costco for even cheaper! It's very convenient and works really well.
I like to put 6-7 wipes in a small ziploc bag and carry it in my purse for touch ups or when I want to take my makeup off (be it at a beach, friend's house, etc.).
Takes off waterproof liquid eyeliner easily ;) Such a plus for me since eyeliner is #1! Hehehe~
Wonderful product and decent price. :)

Breaking Dawn Part 1

Well Twilight's Breaking Dawn part 1 came out this weekend and my older brother's girlfriend wanted to watch it so I got invited along too. Luckily my brother bought my ticket! ^^ I'm so thankful~ Kekeke

Back to the main reason for this post~
I am not a humongous Twilight fan. But I have read and own the books. I love the series and wish it would never have ended.
But the movies were ruined by the chosen main actors.
I have disliked the other movies in this series because of the horrible acting from Kristen and Robert. I just can't get over the awkward acting, eye-blinking, weird twitching/mannerisms that Kristen had throughout the movies. And Robert's awkwardness and constant constipated expression.
BUT in Breaking Dawn, it wasn't that much of an issue. The awkward acting was actually a tiny bit better. So you could actually sit throughout the movie without having to cringe as much and constantly wonder how they were chosen for this movie.

Truthfully, (not bashing) I pictured Bella to be much more beautifuler, innocent, and sweeter. And Edward to be better looking.....

*SPOILER FOR THE MOVIE*
They did follow the story line, but unfortunately since they have to cram all the storyline into such a small amount of time, everything felt rushed. Little details that added into the story were taken out.
One example is the part where they are on their honeymoon and the part where Bella is constantly eating eggs because of her unknown pregnancy.
They added in a little horror scene, where Bella has a nightmare, where she is at her wedding and when she gets to the altar and looks out the crowd of people are gone. She looks at Edward to find blood on him and then herself to find blood on her hands. And then down to the huge pile of dead family and friends. I thought was a little unnecessary, but I realize it was to show that Bella was a little afraid of herself when she becomes a vampire.
We got to see a little bit of Jacob's side of the story in the movie. But not much I feel.
The best part I thought was the scene where Jacob imprints on Renesmee. In his mind, he gets flashes of scenes of the future. Of himself with Renesmee in the future. I liked this scene the most because we got to see Renesmee grown up, and together with Jacob. The actress who plays Renesmee is so beautiful. :)

Overall, I was not disappointed with the movie compared to the other ones. I thought the wedding scenes were wonderful~ I know in the novel this is the honeymoon book filled with tons of kissing and the such. But there was so much kissing/making out and nakedness, I don't know why but I felt so awkward watching it... Maybe it's just me... Anyways, I enjoyed it. (:
I can't wait until Part 2 comes out. We get to see Bella discover her Shield powers, a better look at Renesmee, and the Volturi.

heels heels heels nails nails nails

AHHHHHH~ My heels finally came!! I recently bought them on eBay because you can no longer find them in stores. They are Forever 21 Floral Mary Jane heels! :D I saw them in stores a long time ago and I wanted to purchase them but I wasn't in love with them at that time, so I just left. But after time, I fell in love with them and now I found them. Unfortunately I paid $10 more than the retail price.... BUT I am thankfully that I now own my pair of these babies~

Unfortunately, I just painted them, so I have to wait until they chip away till I can start from scratch and show a step-by-step tutorial. Please look forward to it in the future ;)

The Holidays

Can't believe how quickly time is flying by.
Thanksgiving is already next Thursday and a month later it is Christmas! Thinking about the holidays gets in me in such a good mood~ Hehehe

My friend and I held a Christmas party for our friends last year and it was such a blast. The work and time we put into it was tiring and we were so drained. But the party itself and the after joy was so worth it. We played secret santa, and it was my first time playing. I can't remember what I gave my chosen person, but my secret santa got me a pikachu plushie! It was so cute (:

This year my friend hit me up and told me that we should plan another party. I was a little hesitant at first because I felt that the planning and expense would be too much. But she said that we will make it more "chill" this year. Hahaha. So I agreed and now we are mid-planning for this party. Well, more like we just made a Facebook event and invited the people we wanted. Still my hostess genes are kicking in, and it makes me want to bake all kinds of cupcakes, cookies, and snacks. And wondering what kind of decorations should be put up or bought. I know that my friend said this party will be more informal and whatnot. But I really want to make it memorable. All in all, I am stressing and wondering how much it will cost me to pull off this little party/get-together. Hopefully everything will pan out well in the end. ^-^
